Botanical Frequency emerges from an ongoing, intuitive relationship with the natural world—less a depiction of landscape than a response to its shifting presence. These paintings unfold in a space between observation and memory, where light fractures, forms dissolve, and perception begins to drift. Working through a loose yet deliberate process, I allow natural elements to surface and recede across layered, tactile grounds. Forms hover at the edge of recognition, flattening into near abstraction before quietly resolving into something familiar. Beneath this fluidity is an underlying structure, anchoring the work without restricting its movement. Color and form interact as a kind of visual cadence, establishing rhythms of depth, atmosphere, and breath. While informed by traditions ranging from classical painting to the immediacy of Abstract Expressionism, the work remains deeply personal—an attempt to translate lived experience into a visual language that feels both immediate and reflective. Built through impasto brushwork, line, and moments of collage, the surfaces carry a physical presence, shifting, atmospheric, and alive. Nature serves as a point of departure, but the work ultimately moves inward, exploring the tension between what is seen and what is felt. These paintings function as emotional fields of resonance, at times meditative, at times charged, inviting the viewer into a space where perception softens, boundaries dissolve and the inner experience begin to emerge.
